Here is an excerpt from Dr. Garrow's cover letter:
"...As I teach some of the Seniors, I had the joy of giving them their letters, and it was just so sweet. Everyone loved it, and of course everyone wrote a letter in response. And this was where there was a lesson in empathy. It’s not that the Seniors had anything to share they needed to be careful about - they just needed to remember what a 2nd Grade student would want to hear about and what they could read. Some words are a little too tough, and the spring-semester senior-year scrawl is barely legible, as is cursive. And, of course, what are you supposed to say to a 2nd Grader? I encouraged them to share their favorite colors, animals, and of course, dinosaurs... Click here to continue reading.
