Mrs. Nelson was born and raised in rural Maryland. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Speech/Language Pathology and Audiology from Towson University, she continued her education at James Madison University in Virginia, where she received a Master’s Degree in Speech/Language Pathology. Mrs. Nelson has worked as a Speech/Language Pathologist in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, separate day schools, and in public schools. Mrs. Nelson holds two state licenses and a national certification. Her special interest areas include social/emotional development and Autism. While at home, Mrs. Nelson enjoys spending time with her family as they explore Colorado’s state parks, swim at the rec center, and cook together.
