Mrs. Caucutt was born in Oregon and lived the entirety of her pre-college years in the West. She moved to Wisconsin in 1995 to attend a small liberal arts college, and after completing degrees in Church Ministries and Early Childhood Education, she married her husband and settled down in Watertown, Wisconsin. During her years in Wisconsin, she ran after-school programs, taught preschool and worked as an activities coordinator for developmentally-delayed and behavior-challenged adults. In 2008, Mrs. Caucutt and her family moved to Colorado. After homeschooling her three children for several years, she desired to return to the education field. Prior to coming to GVCA, she worked at her local neighborhood school as a paraprofessional. When her children were accepted into Golden View in its inaugural year, she fell in love with classical education. She is thrilled to be a part of this exciting school, both as a teacher and a parent. Mrs. Caucutt thoroughly enjoys studying the intricacies of our English language, particularly the etymology of words. She is excited to share her love of grammar with her students. In her spare time, she also enjoys exploring our beautiful state, whether by hiking or camping with her family. She loves to bake, discover new restaurants, drink good coffee, watch documentaries, and teach pre-K Sunday school.
