Mr. Ward received his Bachelors of Arts in British and American Literature at Franciscan University of Steubenville, with a minor degree in Drama. After graduating, he accepted a position teaching the Humane Letters, or “Great Books,” curriculum for the Upper School at Ville de Marie Academy in Scottsdale, Arizona. While visiting Tucson, Mr. Ward purchased his first telescope, Wundereimer, and with it participated in the “International Messier Marathon” hosted in Salome, where he proudly identified twenty-five deep-space objects in an all-night event (some of the old-timers there could identify all 110, with binoculars).
After he and Mrs. Ward wed, they left the always clear skies of deserted Arizona for cloudy and mountainous Colorado, where they now live with Peter Ward, their newborn son. Mr. Ward is the current advisor for Golden View Classical Academy’s Astronomy Club and is the house leader for Camillus.
