Dr. Garrow earned a BA in political science from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a Ph.D. in politics and policy from Claremont Graduate University.
He has taught for the Political Theory Institute at American University, at California State University at San Bernardino, at Pitzer College, and for the Navy. His first teaching position was aboard the USS George Washington, a Nimitz class aircraft carrier stationed in Yokosuka, Japan. After teaching at the collegiate level, Dr. Garrow served as the Assistant Principal at Founders Classical Academy of Leander, a sister school that is also part of the Barney Charter School Initiative. At Golden View Classical Academy he teaches American Government and Moral Philosophy.
Dr. Garrow lives in Boulder with his wife and two children.
