Golden View Classical Academy unveiled its future campus, to be located at 601 Corporate Circle, Golden, Colorado.
Founder and Board President Derec Shuler opened the ceremony with a background on the beginnings of Golden View Classical Academy and the initial idea launching in early November 2012, quickly followed by a group of JeffCo parents visiting Ridgeview Classical Schools and Liberty Common School in Fort Collins.
Dr. Larry Arnn, president of Hillsdale College, presented remarks on the Hillsdale College Barney Charter School Initiative and Hillsdale’s commitment to support Golden View Classical Academy become a successful charter school. Mr Arnn, who just visited Golden View Classical sister school, Founders Academy, in Leander, Texas, commented a parent there told him “they’ve taken over my kid now,” in regards to how kids have embraced learning and the culture of schools like Golden View Classical.
The school will open with about 46,000 square feet in Fall 2015 with a target enrollment of about 500 students in grades K-10. The school will have room to expand and eventually hold 730 students in grades K-12.
The location at 601 Corporate Circle in Golden is conveniently located near I-70, C-470, US Highway 6, and Highway 93.
The future home of Golden View Classical Academy is made possible by the generous support of Mr. Paul Bailey and his family, who are excited to support excellent education opportunities for more kids in Jefferson County.
Golden View is a classical, liberal arts, Core Knowledge public tuition-free charter school opening in JeffCo.
